July month of 2017 featured a Vocal concert of Vidwan S Mahadevan hailing from Thiruvananthapuram. Mahadevan was accompanied on the violin by Gokul Alankode. Percussion support was given by Nikshith Puttur.

Mahadevan began the concert with the popular Navaragamalika varnam, followed by krithis Vallabha Nayakasya in Begada, Paraloka Sadhaname in Poorvikalyani, Hecharikagarara in Yadukulakamboji. Tamil compositions Kaakka Unakkirakkam in Kharaharapriya and Anbe Jeevadharam (a Sangam poetry) was very much enjoyed by the audience present.

Muthuswami Deekshithar composition Sree Krishnam Bhaja Manasa, the main composition in the raga Thodi was selected because of the presiding deity Lord Krishna.

Chinnanjiru Kiliye, a popular Subramania Bharathiyar composition was rendered in a different style. Mahadevan concluded the concert with Karpagame in Madhyamavathi.
