Ollur Edakunni Sargolsavam 2016 witnessed a mellifluous vocal concert of S Mahadevan supported by Sri Vayala Rajendran and Sri Varappetty D Umesh on the violin and mridangam respectively.

Mahadevan began the concert with Sri Mahaganapathi in Goula followed by GNB’s Marakoti Sundari in Bahudari.

Vanadurge in the Melakartha raga Vanaspati was fairly presented followed by some of the popular krithis Swaminatha Paripalayasumam and Sobillu Saptaswara. Subramania Bharathi’s Bhoologakumari in raga Ranjani and Deekshithar’s Chethasri Balakrishnam in raga Dwijavanthi was very much enthralling to the music lovers present there.

Kamalambam Bhajare a Navavarana krithi of Muthuswami Deekshithar in the raga Kalyani was selected as the main item. Tukkadas included Periyasami Thooran’s Hariharasuthane in raga Abhogi and Purandaradasar composition Chandrachooda Sivasankara in Darbarikanada ragam.
