Thulaseevanam Music Day Celebrations, Thiruvananthapuram


For the 2nd day of week-long Thulaseevanam Music Day Celebrations, S Mahadevan Thiruvananthapuram presented a Vocal Concert. Beginning with Panchamathangamukha in Malahari, Mahadevan chose Sadasiva Brahmendra’s Tattva Jeevatvam in Keeravani, followed by Devi Brova Samayamithe in Chinthamani. Ee Vasudha in Sahana was rendered briskly.

Chakkani Raja, one of the heavyweighted Thyagaraja krithi in Ragam Kharaharapriya was selected as the main piece.

Mahadevan rendered Bhaje Suresham in Sriranjani and Saastharam Bhajare in Malayamarutham, as Thulaseevanam compositions.

Dhava Vibho in Yamunakalyani and Swathi Thirunal‘s Seesa Ganga in Dhanashree were rendered as bhajans.

Udupi Sreejith and PL Harikrishnan gave nice support for Violin and Mridangam respectively. Trivandrum Ramaswamy Iyer played the Ghatam.
